Web-Based Inference Control
Dr. Rei Safavi-Naini
Fifth Avenue Place, West Tower, 4 Ave and 2 St SW
Thursday, September 27, 2012 - 11:30
Published documents when combined with public knowledge result in inferences that may not be desirable. We will give an overview of a web inference system where the public knowledge that is encapsulated in the web is used to infer protected knowledge. For example it can be used to re-identify an anonymized document or leak sensitive knowledge that has been removed from a document. Web inference can also be used in support of securing redaction systems by finding inferences that can be made from a (redacted) document, before publishing it.
