Nominations open for 10th annual Sustainability Awards

Are you aware of outstanding sustainability work at UCalgary? Nominate a student, faculty member or staff member for the 10th annual UCalgary Sustainability Awards. Nominations are open until midnight Feb. 21, and self-nominations are accepted.

Seven unique award categories are available to showcase and honour how students, faculty and staff are contributing to the goals of our Institutional Sustainability Strategy and furthering UCalgary’s commitment to sustainability excellence.

The award categories are:

• Undergraduate Student Leadership in Sustainability Award (individual or group)
• Graduate Student Leadership in Sustainability Award (individual or group)
• Student Club Leadership in Sustainability Award (group)
• Staff Leadership in Sustainability Award (individual or group) 
• Faculty Leadership in Sustainability Education and Research Award (individual or group)
• Campus as a Learning Laboratory Project Award (group)
• Community as a Learning Partner Project Award (group) 

Nominees’ projects or initiatives are evaluated on the basis of three criteria: impact, creativity and collaboration. 

The awards are presented by President Elizabeth Cannon at the annual Sustainability Awards celebration event on March 21, 2018.
